A bikini which reminds sunbathers to turn over so they don't get burnt has been launched in Britain.
The Tan-Timer Bikini has an electronic timer that beeps every 15 minutes to remind its wearer to roll over or seek shade.
The manufacturers hope it will appeal to the 59% of beachgoers who admit to a tendency to falling asleep in the sun.
The £20 bikini is going on sale in New Look stores, the country's third biggest women's clothes retailer.
Hash Ladha, the marketing director of New Look, said: "As well as the health implication of over-exposing your skin to the sun, burnt or peeling skin is not a good look for the image conscious."
A New Look spokeswoman said a male version could be on the cards for the future.

Swimwear has come a long way since the old fashioned striped body suits that grandma used to wear. Here's a crash course on a few of the most popular styles to look for:
Bikini -- This once-shocking two piece swimsuit has come a long way over the years! Look for string bikinis, micro bikinis, super-skimpy triangle, side-tie bottoms. Add built-in push-up bras, underwire and sculpted cups and you have the recipe for a curvacious body!
Tankini -- A variation of the bikini, has a longer top that leaves only a small portion of the tummy exposed. Don't want to expose your tummy at all? Go for the mock tankini.  Bandini -- A bikini with a bandeau (straight, striplike piece of fabric) top. Full figured women, stay away from this style.
Camikini -- Same as the tankini except the top looks like a camisole. So demure but very sexy too.
Maillot -- One-piece suit (some creative types have even labeled a cut-out style the "monokini").
Boy legs -- A longer leg resembling really short shorts. Careful here -- tends to make the leg look shorter-- but still a favorite silhouette.
Tubini -- A two-piece version of the bandeau-style suit. Provides a better fit for longer torsos than a one-piece bandeau-style suit.Pareo -- A separate wrap that is used as a cover-up. It ties at the waist and can be either long or short.
Sarong-- A one-piece swimsuit with attached skirt in front. Provides great coverage for fuller hips and thighs.
Surplice -- A one-piece suit with front wrap style. Provides great tummy coverage and control.
Here's how to choose the right style to flatter your figure
Rouching across the tummy and hips is the most flattering way to disguise an unsightly midsection. It’s also very glamorous and very "in" right now
Use chevron stripes to create a streamlined shape for apple body shapes or fuller middles.Halter tops give more volume to small busts. They are always a great shape for petites looking to create the illusion of extra inches.
Use a shaped cup that plunges to minimize a top-heavy body or a full bust and always avoid a bandeau style top that creates visual volume and no shape.
This season’s one-piece cut out styles are perfectly suited to taller bodies – breaking up the vertical line into more destinct areas of interest.

The bandeau top has to be the hottest bikini style right now, and every swimwear label seems to have its own rendition.
Big buckles and dangly, hip details are still the big thing this year, except you will be seeing more swimsuits that have the jewel, ring, or buckle on only one hip. 
Sash ties, rather than spaghetti strings are definitely in vogue.
Retro Looks are a really hot. From Tropi-Ties, you’ll see some marvelous Polynesian, “South Seas” inspired bikinis, with chunky shells and coconut details. From Salinas, in Brazil, you ’ll see lots of green and pink, mimicking that Lily Pulitzer look of the early 1960s, as well as plenty of coral and chocolate brown from Liz Bang and TNA. Luxurious, retro, European prints and glam styling are making a big comeback, harking back to that hip 60's Italian Riviera / James Bond era. Look for rouched front bikini bottoms that cry out, “ciao baby!”
Sweet innocence is sublime. Look for lots of super girly looks, with pretty, English florals and loads of adorable ruffles, which are everywhere, from Letarte’s French Pastry Bikini, to OndadeMar’s Tea Party Swimsuit.

More coverage is the trend and swimsuits are starting to take on the look of streetwear. TNA and Salinas have brought out a sweet little, “skirtini,” that covers the bum nicely and goes great with a little cami for a day in town.
